Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus: Installation and Activation Guide

This guide installs and activates Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus for Windows bought from license4u.co.

1. Remove any older Office (2013 through 2021, or a Microsoft 365 trial) via Settings > Apps, then restart. Mixed versions are the main cause of setup errors.
2. Download the installer using the link in your delivery email. Professional Plus installs through Microsoft's Office Deployment Tool: extract it, and run setup.exe /download configuration.xml followed by setup.exe /configure configuration.xml with a configuration that names ProPlus2024Volume as the product. A ready-made configuration file is included with your order.
3. Open any Office app (Word is fine), go to File > Account and click Change Product Key. Enter the 25-character key and follow the prompts.
4. Confirm activation: File > Account should read "Product Activated" with Office Professional Plus 2024 listed.

Activating from the command line

If the Change Product Key button is missing, open an administrator Command Prompt, change to the Office folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16), then run cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:YOUR-KEY and cscript ospp.vbs /act. Use cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus to check the licence status.

If activation fails

Make sure the installed edition is Professional Plus 2024, not a retail Home and Business or a 365 build, and that the PC is online. Then email support@license4u.co with your order number and the output of /dstatus.
